Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Crossfield, Alberta
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Reports To: Engineering Manager

MaXfield Inc. has an opportunity for an Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Engineer to work with our team.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Apply knowledge of Codes, manufacturing, and engineering to design safe, profitable products
  • Perform and/or review extensive calculations to verify structural integrity of products
  • Prepare and/or review design reports for federal and provincial regulatory authorities
  • Review accuracy and completeness all drawings required to drive projects from concept to production
  • Manage changes that occur during the course of a project
  • Authentication (stamping) of drawings, calculations, and documents as required
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge with continuing education
  • Works as part of a team in a fast paced, challenging environment
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration mandatory
  • Previous experience designing pressure vessels, piping systems, or cargo transports
  • Skills in Mechanical Engineering fundamentals: specifications and mechanical drawings
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering design principles and design codes, particularly ASME VIII-1, ASME B31.3, CSA B620
  • Very strong attention to detail with a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Superior communication skills and problem solving abilities
  • Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
